ذات يوم الإعتاق يعمّ الحبور والبهجة شوارع البلاد ويسكنان قلوب أهلها، ففي ذاك اليوم تشاهد الطرقات مزدانة بالأعلام المرفرفة عالياً، وتلمح العروض العسكرية المنظمة لإمتاع الشعب والتعبير عن الفرحة بأسلوب عسكري لائق، في حين تلتفت عالياً لتستمتع بعروض الطيران العسكرية الجميلة التي يؤديها أولاد الوطن الغالي من الطيارين، فتراهم يرسمون أجمل لوحات الانتماء للوطن في السماء بألوان العلم الزاهية، في الوقت الذي تتناهى فيه إلى أذنيك أجمل الأغاني الوطنية التي تثير في النفس الطاقة والحماس، أمّا عن الألعاب النارية التي تُطلق في سماء الوطن حينها فهي إبتهاج لا تكتمل إلّا بأداء الأشخاص لبعض الرقصات الشعبية والفلكلورية المخصصة بكل بلد، وجدير بالذكر إلى أنّ معظم البلاد والمدن تتخذ ذلك اليوم التاريخي أجازة رسمية تملأّ البلاد، يقوم فيها رئيس الجمهورية أو ملكها باستلام وفودٍ من الوزراء والنوّاب وعامة الشعب وآخرين في القصور لتَقبُّل تهانيهم بهذه الموقف، ولا يُغيّّب أبناء الوطن من المغتربين عن تلك الحادثة حيث تعيش سفارات البلاد والمدن احتفالات حكومية في تاريخ استقلال بلدانها في مختلف دول العالم لإشراكهم في مثل ذاك اليوم الهائل.
يوم التحرر فرصة لإرجاع تعبئة الهمة للنهوض بالوطن، واحتمالية للتحفيز على الشغل والبناء والنهوض بكل البنية التأسيسية التعليمية والصحية والاقتصادية والسياسية، فالوطن الذي يمكن له أن ينتزع استقلاله من دولة أخرى، هو بحق قادر على أن يوائمَ التقدم والإزدهار في مختلف ساحات الحياة، ولذا يقع على مواطنيه جهدٌ جسيم ومسؤولية ضخمة يلزم أن يكونوا على قدرها، وأن يُثبتوا أنهم قادرين على حمل لواء الوطن دون الاحتياج إلى انتساب دولة أخرى، فالاستقلال روحٌ حديثة وولادة عصرية.
